GRENZGANG – Ein stadtweites interaktives Kunstprojekt
Ein Zaun, ein Fluss, eine unsichtbare Linie, eine Barrikade im Kopf.
Was genau sind eigentlich Grenzen und wer entscheidet über ihre Gültigkeit?
Wann gilt es Grenzen zu setzen, wann zu überwinden und wann verstehen wir etwas als
grenzüberschreitend?
Mit dem stadtweiten interaktiven Kunstprojekt GRENZGANG wollen wir uns möglichst experimentell
mit geografischen, politischen und individuellen Grenzen auseinandersetzen und der Frage
nachgehen, wozu Grenzen dienen und wie sich unser Umgang mit ihnen erfahrbar machen lässt.
Über den Sommer suchen wir nach Antworten zum Thema und experimentieren mit verschiedenen
Ausdrucksformen. Dabei wird das Thema Grenzen im ersten Schritt allein oder in kleinen Teams
künstlerisch erfahrbar gemacht und im zweiten Schritt im Rahmen von Workshops gemeinsam
bearbeitet.
Ab sofort könnt ihr euch als Teams (bestehend aus bis zu 4 Menschen) oder als Einzelperson für das
Projekt GRENZGANG anmelden und bekommt von uns im Juli und August Aktionspakete nach Hause
geschickt, die flexibel innerhalb von 4 Wochen bearbeiten werden können. Besondere künstlerische
Vorerfahrungen sind nicht nötig. Allerdings solltet ihr ein künstlerisches Interesse mitbringen. Der
Inhalt der Pakete soll euch dazu befähigen und anregen Grenzen ganz individuell darzustellen und
künstlerisch greifbar zu machen.
Nach jedem Paket bekommt ihr eine Einladung zum Workshop im Peter-Weiss-Haus und könnt euch
zusammen mit Expert:innen zu euren Ergebnissen austauschen, eure kreativen Prozesse reflektieren
und gemeinsam mit den Workshopleitenden Möglichkeiten kennenlernen, eure Arbeiten
weiterzuentwickeln.
Das Projekt ist offen für alle Altersgruppen. Wie ihr das Projekt angeht und wie viel Zeit ihr aufbringt,
ist euch selbst überlassen. Die Workshops finden einmal monatlich samstags statt.

BORDERLANDS – an interactive arts project
A fence. A river. An invisible line. A barricade in your mind.
What exactly are borders and who decides if a border is valid?
When do we need to establish a border, when do we need to overcome one and when do we feel like
a boundary has been violently ignored or even overrun?
The BORDERLANDS project is designed to experiment with the concept of geographical, political and
individual borders and to explore the question why some borders are needed and how we can handle
them.
During the upcoming summer we will be looking for answers and experiment with different forms of
expression. Individually or in small groups we will take an artistic approach to experience borders. This
will be the first phase before we get together in workshops. In this setting all participants will work on
the topic more in-depth.
You can apply for BORDERLANDS right now either by yourself or as a group of up to four people. In
the months of July and August you will receive packages with art supplies and will be able to work with
them for a period of 4 weeks. No prior artistic knowledge or certain skills are needed but you should
have a general interest in art and communication through art. The provided packages will enable you
to visualize your individual boundaries and express them in an artistic way.
After receiving each package you will be invited to participate in a workshop at the Peter-Weiss-Haus.
Together with experts you can talk about your results, reflect on your creative process and explore
possibilities to further developing your work.
People of all age are welcome to apply for the project. How you approach working on the project and
how much time you dedicate to it is completely up to you.
